Escaped inmate picked up in Montreal Lake

The inmate who escaped from the Saskatchewan Penitentiary earlier this month is back behind bars.
Hector Thomas Bird went missing from the minimum security unit on Oct. 5.
He was recaptured on Sunday evening by RCMP in Montreal Lake.
Bird was serving a three-year sentence for sexual assault, sexual interference and failing to comply with a probation order.
Corrections Canada is investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
