Saskatoon stabbing sends man to hospital

Oct 9, 2015 | 11:53 AM

No arrests have been made after an early-morning stabbing in Saskatoon Friday.

A police forensic team is combing the scene of a home in the 300 block of Avenue W South after police found a man in his 30s bleeding out just after 4 a.m. The man was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries and police said his condition is stable.

Kim lives right across the street and she woke up to flashing blue and red lights as four police cars surrounded the home. She said seeing police in the area isn’t uncommon.

“I asked the police if someone got murdered, I’ve lived here eight years and the riffraff is unbelievable,” she said.

Kim said she used to know a woman that lived in the top floor of the home, but she moved out recently and a family moved into the basement of the house. That’s where she thinks the stabbing happened.

“I assume it’s the basement suite because I don’t think anybody is home upstairs, there are no cars in the driveway and two lights were on in the basement this morning,” she said.

Two homes are roped off with yellow police tape and police are asking that anyone with information about the incident contact police
