During a routine inmate count Monday night in the minimum security unit at Saskatchewan Penitentiary, staff members discovered Hector Thomas Bird was missing.

The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) immediately contacted the Prince Albert Police Service and the Prince Albert detachment of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) and a warrant has been issued for Bird’s arrest.
