They are industry leaders in Prince Albert being the first funeral home in town to offer motorized funeral cars when they opened in 1935 and in 1985, they modernized the industry by being the first funeral home to own and operate their own crematorium.
Just in time for their 80th anniversary the Funeral Home and Crematorium have recently completed a variety of renovations and upgrades. The new modern look provides comfortable, soothing surroundings where families and friends can gather to remember and celebrate the life of their loved one.
To celebrate the milestone of the Funeral Home’s 80th anniversary and the renovations, the staff at MacKenzie Chapel & Crematorium will be holding an open house at the Funeral Home located at 130 9th Street East, Prince Albert, SK. The open house will begin at 1:00 pm on Sunday, October 25, 2015. Tours of the Funeral Home, as well as the Crematorium, will continue throughout the day. An exhibit of pictures and memorabilia depicting the years of the Funeral Home will be on display. The event is open to the public and everyone is welcome to attend.
