Miller Contracting obtains Mike Holmes stamp of approval

With the Mike Holmes stamp of approval, a Holmes Approved Home qualified builder can “Make it right” and guarantee the quality behind your walls by helping to build a better home for your family.

Miller Contracting Ltd. has been building commercial, multi-unit residential and single family custom homes in Prince Albert for over 40 years and they have built a reputation during that time for being a leader in their industry when it comes to quality. Dan Yungwirth, General Manager of Miller Contracting said they were approached by the organization last fall and at first they were a bit skeptical thinking this is just to good to be true.

“We agreed to a meeting and we asked a lot of questions and they already knew a lot about us which was interesting,” said Yungwirth.

“They approach builders in specific communities that they feel have a similar philosophy as Mike Holmes and that fits with what we try to do all of the time and making sure the product that we build is top notch,” he added.

Buying a home is a large investment and it is something all homeowners want to make sure is done right the first time. Both homes will undergo a series of home inspections, including onsite field reviews by approved Mike Holmes building scientists.

“It is an assurance to a home owner that nothing is hidden because at the end of the day they get a report from the inspector that confirms that we have done things properly and we have done things to the standard that Mike Holmes would like to see it, ensuring that we have built that house above building code,” said Yungwirth.

“It’s the piece of mind that it’s not just the builder saying I built you a really good home, it’s a third party saying it and that third party is Mikes Holmes, who is very trustworthy.”

The Homes Approved Homes program integrates proper building practices with cutting edge technology and products to build homes that go above and beyond residential standards, from foundation to final inspection.

From now on every home Miller Contracting builds will receive the Holmes Approved Homes certification making them a company that clients know they can trust.
