Melfort business fined for breaking the rules

A business in Melfort that specializes in gravel removal and excavating has been fined $2,800.
George Sterner Trucking Ltd. has pleaded guilty to two charges under the Saskatchewan Employment Act – failing to pay public holiday pay and failing to pay overtime.
Two charges against George Sterner, director of the company, were stayed.
The case was heard Tuesday at Melfort Provincial Court.
