Traffic is down to a single lane on 15th Street near 1st Avenue East after a sinkhole opened in the west lane.
Crew members working on scene said it happened at about 1:30 p.m.
The sinkhole will now be dug out to determine what caused it.
The crew members said they estimate it will take about six hours to fix, but it is difficult to determine.
