After 63 failed attempts, the key finally fit the hole.

With the 64th attempt, Tsinda Coombs was able to open the lock and get the keys to the white 2004 Chevrolet Avalanche.

“I was prepared to just put the key down and walk away like everybody else who had been up until then, but no – it turned and it popped open and wow,” Coombs said.

Coombs won a chance at the Rock Machine this summer after visiting Kennedy’s Animal Nutrition Centre.

Mix 101’s Lew and Taylor have been out on location all summer handing out keys as a chance to win the Rock Machine. A total of 101 keys were given out.

“Every time somebody pulled out a key you got a little flutter in your stomach,” Taylor said after giving away the truck.

“The thing with radio is, often times if you’re talking on the air you’re connecting with somebody but you don’t get to see that personally. You don’t get to see that person’s experience, so to actually see her face and her joy and excitement and her kids freaking out and getting super excited, it was a little satisfaction for me to be a part of that and to be able to make her so happy.”

Richard Jackson was also a winner on Saturday. He went home with the Samsung Galaxy S6 from GL Mobile Communications.

The Rock Machine 6 giveaway was made possible by Mix 101 and sponsors.
