Cheering on the Mintos to another win

Apr 3, 2011 | 8:33 AM

The Mintos have no shortage of fan support at the Telus Cup Western Regionals in Moose Jaw.

These two kids are among a few hundred fans that have made the Moose Jaw Civic Centre feel more like a home game for the Mintos. Fans have been showing their support during the four day tournament by waving signs, blowing plastic yellow horns and constant “Go Minto Go” chants. You can also hear the ring of a cow bell from time to time.

The Prince Albert crowd should be even larger today with the P.A. boys playing in the championship game against the Winnipeg Thrashers. It starts at 2 p.m.. Winnipeg beat the Mintos 3-1 in Thursday's tournament opener. The winner will advance to the Telus Cup in St John's Newfoundland later this month.

You can listen to live updates on 900 CKBI. paNOW's Brent Bosker will also be providing live online scoring.
