Closing arguments wrap up in youth arson case

A Prince Albert arson case is set to wrap up.

Closing arguments were presented Wednesday afternoon in a Prince Albert Provincial Court room.

The three alleged incidents of arson occurred on July 10, July 17 and on Aug. 26 of 2014.

All three fires were in the basement of a building located on the 300 block of 32nd Street West close to a mechanical or storage room.

The youth involved can’t be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

During closing arguments, it wasn’t clear if the youth acted alone.

The judge presiding over the case raised a few concerns regarding the questioning of the individual involved due to age and a few other factors. He will read his verdict on this case on Sept. 30.
