For one family, it’s a day that brings back many difficult memories.

July 26, 2015, marks one year since the accident that killed Jared Bear.

On Sunday, 45 friends and family members took the afternoon to walk along the accident site on Highway 3 to the family home on Muskoday First Nation, with police cars leading and ending off the group.

The memorial will finish off with a barbeque and family and friends plan to release helium balloons. One participant said they’re doing it all in order to honour Bear’s memory.
