Celebrities happy to be back in Prince Albert

Jul 22, 2015 | 9:59 AM

The SPCA’s Fore-For-Pets golf tournament tees off on Thursday at Cooke Municipal Golf Course.

Some of the special guest celebrities began arriving Wednesday.

Former Rider Andrew Greene will be a big presence on the golf course and through his work with Kid Sport, he is no stranger to Prince Albert.

“I was here last year and had a really great time, met lots of great people and you know I was just asked if I could come back again this year and right away I was like sure.” he said.

Greene said he is hoping to play some golf today before the big tournament on Thursday.

Also returning this year is someone UFC fans will be very familiar with, Rachelle Leah.  She has worked as a UFC ring girl, and is also a host on Fox Sports for the UFC.  She is currently working on a new TV pilot.

“I’m happy to be back, I love this event, it’s for a great cause and I’m an animal lover myself,” said Leah

Leah said it’s very important that people support their local SPCA.

“These animals are humans to me so supporting them and having a shelter for them and finding homes for them is important and treating them like your family,” she said.

Both Leah and Greene will be at TNT Auto from 12p.m. to 2p.m. signing autographs.

All the celebrities and golfers will attend a special banquet tonight at the Prince Albert Inn.
