Dog food donation arrives for evacuated pets

The Prince Albert SPCA will be offering free dog food for evacuated pets.

Thanks to a huge donation, the SPCA is able to distribute the dog food to evacuees staying in Prince Albert for their pets, who have also been relocated due to the dangerous conditions in the north.

Executive director of the SPCA, John Morash, released a statement on Monday advising evacuees that they can come to the SPCA, “To request food for their pets while they are in the city and also when they are headed back home they can pick up some bags of food to distribute in their communities.”

Paddy Thomson from Fido and Felix Foods, in partnership with Horizon Pet foods, offered assistance to the SPCA this week. They delivered 1500 lbs which will be at the PA SPCA for redistribution and in northern communities as well.
