Outdoor activities shut down over health concerns

Until further notice all outdoor activities in connection to any city facilities have been cancelled.

Due to the excessive and heavy smoke, city officials have decided that anything outdoors will be cancelled or shut down for the time being to avoid residents experiencing adverse health issues.

On top of this all facilities like splash pads, the Kinsmen Water Park and slides and the Cooke Municipal Golf Course will be closed.

Officials will continue to monitor air quality day-to-day before deciding to reopen outdoor facilities and restart outdoor activities.

Health officials are warning residents to stay indoors and stay hydrated.
