Four people have been detained by Saskatoon police after shots rang out early Monday morning.

It happened on the 300 block of Ave R South, across from St. Paul’s Hospital.

The two men who were shot are in critical but stable condition in hospital. Investigators believe the suspects approached the home on Avenue R South and shot the first victim. The second victim tried to flee the scene but was chased and shot in a nearby alley.

Two homes have been roped off with police tape as officers investigate. Police say the shooting was not random.
