Prince Albert’s unemployment rate drops

Prince Albert’s unemployment rate sits at 6.3 per cent, down from 6.9 per cent in April. 

The statistic is part of Statistics Canada’s monthly labour force survey.

There were 22,300 people working in the city last month, compared to 21,600 the previous month and 21,200 in May 2015.

The national unemployment rate in May was 6.8 per cent.

Provincially, Saskatchewan saw a slight jump in its rate, up to 4.9 per cent from 4.3 per cent.
