Jun 3, 2015 | 8:02 AM

The results of Prince Albert’s Best of the Best 2015 are in.

After weeks of anticipation and astounding support with over 400,000 votes, paNOW readers have nominated, then voted, for what they feel is the best of what Prince Albert has to offer.

Perfect Balance Yoga is the winner for Best Yoga Studio this year. Owner Elaine Vancoughnett’s was so thrilled by her win that she wasn’t sure how to respond at first.

“You got to be joking,” she said. “I don’t know what to say. I feel honoured and I would like to thank everyone that voted for me.”

Harinderpal Rai owner of one of Prince Albert’s newest restaurants The Spice Trail is a winner in not one but two categories including Best Indian Cuisine and Best Ethnic Restaurant. Rai said they took full advantage of promoting The Spice Trail during the BOBs final voting stages, using both the paNOW graphics as well as motivating their customers to vote for them, and it paid off.

“It’s very exciting and it’s very encouraging too,” said Rai.

More deserving winners under Prince Albert’s local goodness category include Brittany Hudak for best local girl made good, Kelly Taylor for Best Local Boy Made Good, Marj Bodnarchuk for Best Volunteer, Dylan Dubois for Best Local Hero and the Prince Albert Historical Museum for Best Local Tourist Destination.

Most voters think Sixth Avene East is the Best Location for a Second Bridge and they believe the Best of the Year’s Dumbest Political Move is that there still is no new bridge. Prince Albert’s Best Claim to Fame is that the city was once home to three of Canada’s past Prime Ministers and the Canadian Challenge Sled Dog Race is Prince Albert’s Best Cultural Event.

With more than 200 categories, the BOBs recognizes the city’s finest in the following areas: shopping and services, arts and entertainment, food and drink, sports and recreation, health, beauty and style and local goodness. This is the second year for the Prince Albert BOBs awards and similar to last year, paNOW readers have made it clear that they are passionate about the opportunity to recognize the best of what Prince Albert has to offer. It is anticipated the BOBs will continue to be something we can look forward to on an annual basis.
