Two dead in Northern Saskatchewan

Oct 17, 2010 | 8:12 AM

A windy day on the water is being pegged as the reason for two drownings in Northern Saskatchewan.
The Montreal Lake RCMP are investigation a drowning of two people on Bittern Lake.
They know it happened between Friday and Saturday evening.
RCMP believe a 42-year-old man and a 36-year-old woman from La Ronge tried to cross the lake.
Because it was so windy, their boat capsized and the couple drown.
The RCMP are still investigating.
The names of the two people who drowned wont be released until the next of kin has been notified.
