Stylist gives free haircuts at Friendship Centre

May 28, 2015 | 10:58 AM

Jessica Ksyniuk wanted to give back to the Prince Albert community, and on Thursday she did.

Although currently in between work, Ksyniuk gave away her haircutting services for free at the Indian and Metis Friendship Centre of Prince Albert. By mid-morning, she had already seen a few of the centre’s clients.

Right now, she is based out of her home, but offering free haircuts at the Friendship Centre helps to keep her busy, she said. She’s hoping that the free haircuts give those who get them a pick-me up.

Ksyniuk said haircuts are expensive and transportation isn’t always ideal, “so I though come down to where lots of people are and where people could use a haircut and a pick-me-up.”
