Parkland Ambulance recognized with industry awards

The Provincial Emergency Medical Services Awards were held Monday afternoon in Regina.

Parkland Ambulance personnel returned home with a number of awards.

Darren Russell and Tracey Detillieux received the Emergency Medical Services Exemplary Service Medal. The award is Canada’s highest and most distinguished recognition for the emergency medical service (EMS) profession. Those who received the medal have at least 20 years of exemplary service.

Erica Stuber received the Saskatchewan Stars of Life Award. This award recognizes EMS professionals who may have not as many years of experience, but are doing outstanding work in their communities.

The Parkland Ambulance Care Response Team and the Parkland Ambulance Care Communications Team both received the Saskatchewan Stars of Life – Team Award.

The awards were presented at Government House by Lieutenant Governor Vaughn Schofield.

A total of 33 awards were handed out.
