Man caught in P.A. drug bust sentenced

A man arrested earlier this year after police in Prince Albert seized drugs in his vehicle, including possible counterfeit Oxycontin pills, will spend more than two years in prison.

Gregory Klyne received a prison sentence of three years and three months on Wednesday at Prince Albert Provincial Court. However, he was given credit of 155 days for time served in remand.

In January, Klyne was arrested after police said they found 13.8 grams (g) of Methamphetamine, 27.7 g of cocaine, 25.5 g of ecstasy and 49 pills they believed to be fake Oxycontin. Police also seized other drug paraphernalia related to trafficking.

Klyne was charged with possessing cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possessing methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, possessing ecstasy for the purpose of trafficking, possessing Fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking, possessing the proceeds obtained by crime and breach of conditions.
