Missing Bruno-area senior found dead in slough

A missing 71-year-old man from the Rural Municipality of Bayne has been found dead in his vehicle that was submerged in a slough.
According to RCMP, the man was found Tuesday around 4:30 p.m., three miles east of Bruno in a 10-foot deep slough off a grid road.
RCMP said it was a tip from the public about some floating debris down the road that led them to the area where the man was located.
“While investigators were traveling to the location, they noted some faint tracks on the gravel road leading into a slough,” RCMP said in a statement.
