Sask. Caterpillar dealer Kramer sells to Finning for $230M

Kramer Ltd., Saskatchewan’s Caterpillar dealer, is selling the company to Finning for approximately $230 million.

Founded in 1944 by Robert A. Kramer, the company has been run by Tim Kramer for the past 23 years.

Robert first passed the company down to his eldest child Don Kramer in 1980 after he retired. Tim Kramer, who is Don’s third of five children, became president in 1995. Donald Kramer became chairman of the board.

The Regina-based company employs about 475 people in nine locations across the province.
