Police investigate weekend break-in

Police in Prince Albert are looking suspects following a break and enter in the city.

On Saturday at around 10:30 a.m., police were called out to a business in the 500 block of First Avenue East.

Police discovered that the culprits had forced entry into the building and stole items.

The investigation is ongoing.

Police responded to 213 calls for service over the weekend, meanwhile paramedics with Parkland Ambulance had responded to 57 incidents.

On Saturday at around 1:30 p.m., paramedics were called out to Highway 55 west near Holbien for a vehicle collision.

A 24-year-old man was treated for his injuries and taken to hospital in good condition.

Later, at around 11 p.m. paramedics were called to the scene of an accident where a pedestrian was allegedly hit by a vehicle at the corner of River Street and Fourth Avenue West.

However when paramedics arrived on scene there was no victim and they searched the area and did not find anyone.

Also at around 11 p.m., paramedics were called to the intersection of 15th Street and Second Avenue West for a collision. No one was injured.

On Sunday at around 6 a.m., paramedics were called out and held on standby during a fire in the 500 block of 28th Street East. No injuries were reported.
