A ‘claws’ for celebration

Nearly 500 people filled the Prince Albert Exhibition Centre Saturday night for the 6th annual Buckland Fire and Rescue Surf and Turf.

The annual fundraiser raises money and awareness for the Buckland Fire and Rescue unit, helping to among things purchase needed equipment.

Preparing for the big event is no small task.  

Over 500 lobsters were brought in for dinner, as well as 550 steaks.

After dinner, members of the volunteer fire department were introduced to the crowd — the crowd responded by giving the men and women a standing ovation.
