Deadly confrontation in La Loche

A fight in the northern community of La Loche ended in a death.
RCMP said, on Sunday around 11:30 a.m. a fight broke out between two men at a business in the community north of Meadow Lake. One of the men was hit over the head with a bottle by the other and fell to the ground. He was taken to the La Loche Health Centre where he was pronounced dead.
An autopsy for 24-year-old Kelly Sylvester of La Loche is scheduled for Tuesday in Edmonton, Alta.
Joshua Janvier, 23, of La Loche has been charged with one count of manslaughter and two counts of breach of probation.
