Paramedics mark off a busy weekend in P.A.

A busier weekend than usual for Parkland Ambulance paramedics with 76 incidents reported.

Out of those incidents these are most notable:

On Friday around 8 p.m. paramedics were called to the scene of an accident at the intersection of 15th Street and 6th Avenue East.

However when paramedics arrived there were no injuries to attend to.

On Saturday around 9:30 p.m. paramedics responded to an accident at the intersection of Second Avenue and 22nd Street West.

A 51-year-old woman was injured in the accident and was taken to Victoria Hospital with minor injuries.

On Sunday there were two accidents that paramedics responded to.

The first was around 9 a.m. in the 2400 block of 17th Avenue West, although no one was injured.

The second happened about an hour later in the 3200 block of Second Avenue West.

Again no injuries were reported.

A number of assaults were reported over the weekend as well with injuries resulting.

Paramedics report responding to at least three major assaults in the city that required patients to be taken to hospital for further care.
