Vandalism forces Saskatoon Cabelas store to close

Apr 19, 2015 | 9:08 AM

Customers looking to stock up on camping, fishing and hunting supplies were turned away from one of Saskatoon’s largest outdoor retailers Saturday.

Saskatoon police said the Cabela’s at Preston Crossing was vandalized at around 2 a.m. Friday night. Nobody was injured, and no arrests have been made just yet.

Potential shoppers were greeted by an employee, who apologized for the inconvenience and handed out $20 coupons.

The store is expected to open under normal hours on Sunday. Customers can visit the store’s website for information on the store reopening.
