Canadian Forces take part in weekend training exercise near Dundurn

Gunshots and explosives will be the norm just outside Dundurn over the next couple weeks while the Canadian Forces take part in what they're calling a “large scale training exercise” at 17 Wing detachment.

Troops from 1 Combat Engineer Regiment based in Edmonton are in town along with plenty of equipment and vehicles.

There's no danger to the public because all activities will remain on the detachment grounds, but the Canadian Forces is asking people to take extra care while in the area.
