Apr 16, 2015 | 7:18 AM

Wednesday afternoon was a busy one for police in Prince Albert, who were conducting check stops on the first day of a two-day traffic blitz.

Prince Albert RCMP and the Prince Albert Police Service are holding the stops as a part of the Selective Traffic Enforcement Program (S.T.E.P.) Spring Enforcement Blitz.

S.T.E.P.  is a province-wide task force that involve multiple agencies.

Officers are out in full force watching for speeders, distracted drivers and impaired drivers. Police have also been seen conducting checks of commercial vehicles
