The Prince Albert A&W Bears had trouble scoring on the road during the 2014-15 playoffs and their bid for a provincial title ended Wednesday night in Saskatoon with a 2-0 loss to the Stars.

The Stars completed the three game sweep which began with a 3-2 double overtime win in game one, followed by a 3-0 win the next night in Prince Albert.  Two of Saskatoon’s regular season losses came to the Bears.

The Stars not only swept the Bears, they went unbeaten in the SFMAAAHL playoffs and now head to the Esso Cup nationals in Red Deer.

The Bears staged a post Chrsitmas rally going 8-2 to finish the regular season in second place with a record of 17-6-3-2. The only regular season losses in the second half came in a weekend doubleheader in Weyburn.
