Filling in holes

Mar 21, 2011 | 4:41 PM

The City of Prince Albert is filling potholes.

Officials expect them to be worse than normal this year – last year they filled 3,043.

The holes are caused when moisture enters a crack in the road and freezes with the rise and fall of temperature. The change puts pressure on the crack and it causes the asphalt to break away.

The city is asking residents to let them know where the potholes are by reporting a problem on the website or calling Public Works at 953-4900.
