Weekend crashes and assaults cause several injuries

Saturday proved to be a rather busy day for Parkland Ambulance, dealing with crashes and assaults.

Around 6 a.m.  paramedics responded to a vehicle versus tree collision in the 500 block of River Street East. Five people sustained minor injuries and were taken to hospital for further care.

Then at approximately 2 p.m. they responded to a call from 23-year-old woman who was injured in a snowmobile incident while on the trails by Christopher Lake/Birch Bay area. Paramedics say she is in stable condition.

To end the day, around 9 p.m. there was a motor vehicle collision on Highway 2 north, near the junction of Highway 2 and 264. Thankfully, paramedics say no one was injured in the incident.
