Local swimmers hope to make a splash at provincials

The Prince Albert Sharks swim club has returned home from Edmonton on Wednesday after competing at the Western Canadian Open long course meet. 

The club had two swimmers qualify for this event, Kendal Horan and Nachelle Spademan.  They had a successful meet, breaking a combined three club records. 

Horan broke the 100 metre (m) backstroke and the 50 m backstroke records, while Spademan broke the 200 m backstroke. 

Spademan also qualified for 2 B finals and 1 A final which put her seventh in western Canada.
