Business targeted in major theft

A South Industrial Drive business was hit by a rash of break and enters on its lot.

Over the weekend, 51 trailers were broken into at the business in the 200 block and some sustained damage inside. Numerous flat screen televisions were stolen, and damage was caused when they were ripped off the trailers’ walls.

The incident was reported to the Prince Albert Police Service on Jan. 26.

Some of the trailers weren’t owned by the business, some were private trailers on the lot, according to the police.

The business estimates the damage to be in the tens of thousands of dollars.
