Prisoner makes a run for it

The RCMP is asking for the public’s assistance, locating a man who fled from custody. 

Solomon Toutsaint, 21, ran away from the court house in Black Lake on Jan. 21.

RCMP officers were attending court with three other prisoners at the time.

Toutsaint is considered to be a non-violent offender and is facing two charges of Break and Enter.

He is described as a First Nations male, 5’9” tall, approximately 150 pounds, slender build with short black hair and brown eyes.

Investigators initially believed he would be in the community and conducted several searches in and around the Stony Rapids and Black Lake areas; however, their efforts have been unsuccessful.

There is concern as the weather is expected to change in the coming days with the return of snow and cold temperatures.
