A murder trial date for the accused in a Kinistino Saulteaux stabbing comes just after the two-year anniversary of the victim’s death.

A violent incident on the Kinistino Saulteaux First Nation in September of 2013 led to charges against 31-year-old Jordan Thomas Lumberjack.

The victim, 34-year-old Lance Severeight, 34, was found in critical condition with many stab wounds by Tisdale RCMP on Sept. 21, 2013.

Severeight died while in ambulance on the way to hospital.
