Inmate at large after escape in the Battlefords

An escaped inmate in the Battlefords area is still at large.

Allan Wright, 35, was an inmate at the Willow Cree Healing Lodge. He was on an escorted temporary absence from the minimum security federal facility near Duck Lake. He is serving a three-year and five-month sentence for assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, break and enter, and forcible confinement charges.

Wright is described as six feet two inches fall, 256 pounds, with medium complexion, brown eyes, and black hair.

The Willow Cree Healing Lodge was notified of the escape around 1:15 p.m. Friday and contacted RCMP.
