Pre-Christmas weekend assaults and accidents

The last weekend before Christmas kept ambulances busy in and around Prince Albert.

Friday night Parkland Ambulance responded to, two separate assault incidents.

In each case the people hurt were taken to hospital, two for further care and another in good condition.

Meanwhile, Saturday was a mixture of assaults and car accidents for emergency responders.

Three assaults occurred on Saturday, where each person who was injured was taken to hospital to be treated.

Of three noted car accidents, only one resulted in injuries.

A 59-year-old woman walking in the South Hill Mall parking lot was hit by a car. Parkland Ambulance reports she is stable in hospital.

The final incident responded to before 1 p.m. on Sunday took paramedics beyond the city limits.

A car crash eight kilometers north of Prince Albert on Hwy. 2 led the ambulance to a 21-year-old man.

He was taken to hospital as well.

Overall, there were 71 ambulance responses throughout the weekend leading into Sunday afternoon.
