Saskatchewan speeders ticketed over 1,500 times in November

Plenty of drivers in Saskatchewan got some expensive lessons in safety in November when police handed out over 1,500 speeding tickets.
 
SGI’s focus for November’s traffic spotlight was speeding.

Police across the province gave out 1,559 speeding tickets in total:

-1,468 for simple speeding,
-51 for driving at a higher speed than is reasonable or safe, 
-40 for exceeding 60 kilometres per hour when passing an emergency vehicle, highway equipment, and a tow truck with flashing lights.
