Prince Albert’s Peter Anholt has been named the new head coach and general manager of the Lethbridge Hurricanes.

Anholt has been with the team since the summer time, when he was hired on as an assistant general manager June 14. He got the promotion after the Hurricanes fired ex-general manager Brad Robson on Wednesday, and ex-head coach Drake Berehowsky on Tuesday.

Both Robson and Berehowsky have been with the team since the start of the 2013-2014 season and have posted an 18-74-5-4 record since.

The Hurricanes are currently in last place in the WHL Central Division with a 6-19-3-1 record and have a .276 winning percentage, second worst in the WHL and third worst in the CHL.
