Corner Gas: The Movie world premiere in Saskatoon

Nov 24, 2014 | 8:56 AM

There will be a lot going on in Saskatoon with movie stars and a red carpet downtown Monday afternoon.

The bridge city will be hosting the world premiere of the Saskatchewan-made Corner Gas: The Movie.

Film stars Brent Butt and Lorne Cardinal will join director David Storey and 300 guests for the private screening at the Scotiabank Theatre.

The premiere will also be a charity after local entrepreneur Bart Hunter shelled out $8,000 to themovie’s Kickstarter page to hold the event in the bridge city. A live auction and donations are expected to raise around $50,000 for Saskatoon City Hospital Foundation and the Saskatoon Community Foundation.
