Bethune man dies in single-vehicle crash

A single-vehicle crash west of Bethune Wednesday night claimed the life of a 68-year-old man.

RCMP were called around 8 p.m. and found a vehicle submerged in a slough. Officers didn’t immediately know if anyone was inside.

A rescue crew from the Lumsden Fire Deparment found one man inside the vehicle and took him to shore. He was then taken to the Regina General Hospital via STARS air ambulance.

The man, from Bethune, died once at the hospital. 

His name isn’t being released as Mounties are still notifying his family.
