Oct 24, 2014 | 5:53 PM

On Friday, the Mann Northway GM dealership held a presentation to celebrate 100 years of business in Prince Albert.

Roger Mann said the business began four generations ago with his grandfather Andrew and is now continuing on with his son, Robert Mann.

“We’re the first dealership family owned with a 100 year mark, with General Motors, with Canada so we think it’s quite noteworthy,” he said.

Auto Canada, new partners in the dealership were part of the celebration.

“I think it’s a good opportunity for everyone to be together and kind of celebrate this anniversary of ours,” Mann said.

Roger said he thinks it is a good opportunity for everyone to be together to celebrate the anniversary.

Steve Rose, Senior Vice President of Auto Canada said they are proud to be a part of the celebration.  He said the Mann family has represented the community.

“That is so exceptional and I think it takes a lot of character to run a business for four generations,” he said.

Robert Mann said celebrating 100 years is a big milestone and they are happy to carry on the business.

“There’s lots of heritage and we’ve been around and supported the community throughout the years,” he said.

As part of the presentation, a representation of what the dealership will look like after renovations was unveiled. The rebuilding of the dealership will be done by next fall.

Roger hopes the new and improved dealership will ‘create jobs’ and bring more money into the community.

“The dealership will operate more efficiently, the customer satisfaction will be higher, our level of service will improve,” said Roger. “We’re trying to look after our consumers and our customers.”
