Prince Albert’s Goodwill House sold

Jun 17, 2014 | 6:27 AM

A unique campaign to raise money for the Victoria Hospital’s ICU Unit has come to an end.

North Ridge Developments, along with a number of companies, built a Goodwill House to raise money for the hospital.

Stephen Pollock, general manager for North Ridge Developments, said the house has officially been sold and the new owners officially took possession on June 13.

Pollock said they sold the house for just under the list price of $374,900.

“In the winter the market was slow for real estate in Prince Albert, but we were able to get very close to our asking price,” Pollock said.

“The money all went to the Victoria Hospital, to the intensive care unit.”

Pollock said North Ridge Developments likes to get involved in the communities they do business in.

“We thought that the hospital was a great fit, there’s lots of need there, and it’s a growing hospital so we wanted to be a part of the community by giving back to the hospital.”

Pollock said they would like to do another Goodwill House but they’re not sure they will be able to build one this year.

“We’re really excited to see the house move. We’re really happy with Advantage Real Estate; they had paired up with us on it. It was actually a Century 21 agent that brought the sale in, so it was just really nice to hear.”
