Woman killed in snowmobile crash near Candle Lake

Deadly snowmobile crashes have been all too common this winter in Saskatchewan — and it's happened again.

A Saskatoon woman is dead after crashing her snowmobile northeast of Candle Lake.

Smeaton RCMP said it happened at about 5 p.m. Saturday. Witnesses tell them the 46-year-old driver failed to make a turn on the trail and crashed into some trees.

Her name is not being released as Mounties notify her family.

This is at least the fourth fatal snowmobile accident in Saskatchewan this month.
