May 27, 2014 | 7:03 AM

The Saskatchewan Rivers Dragons sure loved all the extra room on the field at the Rugby 7’s Tournament this weekend in Saskatoon with a second-place finish.

The Dragons went 4-1 on the weekend, with their only loss coming in their first game to the Notre Dame Hounds 24-19, the defending provincial champions. They went undefeated for the rest of the tournament with decisive wins versus the All Blacks, Wallabies, the Notre Dame B Team and the Springboks.

Ryland Gibb, Ashton Milligan, Tayler Milligan, Royce Brittain, Tyler Dupuis, and Tristen France were on the Dragons 7’s team, along with four players from the Regina Campbell Tartans.

The Dragons return to 15 a-side rugby this Thursday in Saskatoon versus the Springboks.
