Guilty plea in drug trafficking charge

A man could face jail time after pleading guilty to several drug charges.

Brody Markowski pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine for the purposes of trafficking and possession of marijuana.

The charges date back to October 27, 2010 when police executed a search warrant of a Prince Albert Home.

The Prince Albert Integrated Street Enforcement Team found 23 grams of cocaine, about 50 grams of marijuana and $1000 in cash.

Markowski pleaded guilty on Tuesday but won't be sentenced until April after a presentence report is completed.

The crown is seeking a jail sentence of at least 18 months for the charges.

The other man involved in the incident will appear in court later in February.
