Prince Albert Sports Hall of Fame announces 2011 inductees

The Prince Albert Sports Hall of Fame announced its 2011 inductees Tuesday at the Art Hauser Centre.

Under the team category are the 1993-94 Carlton High School Girls Soccer team and the 1972-73 Browne Motors Dusters Women's Softball team.

Terry Springett and Bob Romanchuk are going in as builders. Springett gets the nod for his dedication to coaching volleyball and basketball in Prince Albert, while Romanchuk has been key supporter of local softball, curling and hockey.

Pete Lukoni is being recognized as both a builder and athlete for his contribution to the sport of golf.

Rounding out this year's class is David Herbert. He goes into the hall for meritorious service for the impact he had on the game of soccer as a player and his service as a coach.

The induction banquet is May. 21 at the Art Hauser Centre.
