Coquitlam Express win BCHL finals, have local ties

The Coquitlam Express swept the Vernon Vipers in four games in the British Columbia Hockey League finals to win the league and the BC Junior A league.
The Express have two former Raiders on their team in Joey Santucci and Zach Hodder. Both Santucci and Hodder appeared sparingly in the 2011-2012 season, then took on a more prominent role in 2012-2013.
The Vipers also had a pair of guys with PA ties. Riley Guenther played 83 games for the Raiders between 2010-2013 and Michael Statchuk was a former captain of the Prince Albert Mintos Midget AAA hockey club.
The Express beat the Vipers 4-3 Tuesday to seal the series, after a 3-2 overtime win in Game 3, a 4-3 OT win in Game 2 and 6-4 victory in Game 1.
